I started reading Emilie Richards Endless Chain a few days ago. It's the second of three books set in Shenandoah. What is it you are reading?

I'm currently reading a book at the moment called A Brothers' Journey by Richard B Pelzer. His brother, Dave Pelzer, was physically and mentally abused by his Mother. At the time (the 70's), Dave's case was the 3rd worst child abuse case in Californian history. Once Dave had been removed from the home and taken into care, his Mother started on Richard. It's a horrific story.
I'm only half way through the book, so shall update when I finished it and let you know what I think!

Anything like Voodoo Economics, Twiggs, that they accused Ronald Reagan of proposing?

I am reading Quintin Jardines "Stay of Execution", part of a series of books featuring ACC Robert Skinner, the tough Head of Department in a Scots Police (or should that be Polis!) Station.

Could be fluffy. I noticed on the news last night they were showing a police car in Aruba, which said 'Polis' on the side. Those canny Scots might spell likewise, who knows? ;D

Well the first book is an easy read--silly thing. The second book takes more time to read. I keep getting lost and confused. Or maybe that is Dazed and Confused! ;D I was lucky enough to see the play so I wanted to read the book. One of my high school teachers taught me that once you pick-up a book, you must finish it. Well I will finish Wicked but I have to have other things to go with it.

I finished my fluf book yesterday and have added 'Our Endangered Values' by Jimmy Carter. Still plowing through with 'Wicked'--but I seem to be using an old wooden and stone plow. LOL

I am currently reading "Eragon". I am really enjoying it. I think if you read any of the "Dragon Riders Of Pern" series by Mercedes Lackey you will like this one.

I just finished THE MERMAID CHAIR. I bought PRETTY WOMAN by Fern Michaels today, so I'll start it later tonight, since both Dave and Craig are in reruns.

No, I've never read any of Diana Gabaldon's books, Mark. Are they along the same lines? I will read just about anything that sounds interesting whether it's fiction or non-fiction, but I do read a lot of sci-fi and fantasy.

She is one of my most favorite authors. Writes in historical fiction mode with a bit of fantasy. LIke being able to go through a time door and stepping back in time. If only that were true. Anyway, I have read everything she has ever written. I hope you enjoy her work.
