Amazon kindly delivered Mr Beans holiday form my list last week and being a Mr Bean fan I couldn't wait to watch it. Mr Bean wins (though nearly doesn't) a break to the south of France in a church prize draw. The story is predictably Mr Bean and funny enough to make it a good clean funny family film. I give it four stars in our official list

Thanks, Dabbit. I, too, am an avid Mr. Bean fan (well, truth be told, I like nearly everything Rowan Atkinson has been in, and it's a long list indeed!) and look forward to this coming to my video store's shelves. It's so difficult to find a clean, family-friendly comedy these days I've lately resorted to the animated sort almost exclusively, so this will provide a welcome respite!

I guess Rowan is laughing all the way to the bank as he doesn't (as Mr Bean) have to remember any lines - and just act stuipd (something I do every day)...LOL

I know what you mean, Dabbit. Now if we could only turn 'our' foolishness into money like he does, LOL. However, he does have the ability to memorize lines, if you'll recall Black Adder, as well as the other movies he's made with speaking roles. I guess he's 'paid his dues', so to speak. If you remember Benny Hill, he made a lot of money without saying much either - mostly 'sight' gags and scantily clad women, as I recall, though I must admit he did make me laugh from time to time.

I remember Benny Hill too and his number one single will stick with me forever too...! As for Rowan I haven't seen him in anything but Mr Bean

Wow! You mean you never saw 'Black Adder'? That was a hilarious show, as was 'The Thin Blue Line', another television series. Then there were several movies, 'Johnny English', 'Keeping Mum', and several others where he had smaller roles, such as 'Love Actually' and 'Never Say Never Again'. IMHO, the guy's a comedic genius.

The only one I saw that you mention was Love actually but can't recall him in that - but then probably not paying too much attention as it was my wifes choice of film

If I recall correctly, he played a jewellery salesman named Rufus.

Well, I finally was able to watch Mr. Bean's Holiday and agree with you, Dabbit - it was vintage Rowan Atkinson. There were some particularly funny bits involving his bicycle ride, etc. It seems as though if it could happen to our poor Mr. Bean, it did happen, LOL!
