Just the other day I was listening to a news report and they referred to a twenty five year old happening. The year was 1982. Now wait a minute here. That was just yesterday. Ok, let's do the math. 2007 minus 1982= 25. Huh? 1982+25= 2007. Well, double checked and they were right. But.......... How can that be? I'm not that old. Let's see.... this is the year 2007 and I was born in 1946. Just a few years ago. Let's do the math. 2007-1946= NO!!!!!!!!!That can't be right. I'm ........ I'll be danged. How in the world did that happen? Just the other day I wasn't that old. Let's try this again. I was married in 68 and my children were born in 72 and 73. Back to the math again. Numbers never lie! Now, Selena was born 1972 and this is 2007. 2007-1972= No way! Well forget her. Let's try Aleah. 2007-1973= ?Can it be? Yeppers. I have just proved it. NUMBERS DO LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't a bit confused when I wrote that. There is no way the answers to those subtraction activites are correct. It can not possibly be. Afterall I'm only 22. Aren't I?

Yes you are Sandy--a young woman of 20 something. Afterall, age is only a matter of mind. :-)
Now to be serious, one of the many jobs I have had was a property manager at a posh apartment buidling. Mainly it was filled with 'older' rich residents. Some folks were 50 and ancient and then there were the others in their 80's that were as active and with-it as a 320 year old. This is very true.
Noone ever guesses my age correctly. They all think I am about 20 years younger than I am. As they say, 60 is the 40 . . .or my brain could be playing tricks on me. LOL

Aha! You must be back, Dabbit! I was wondering.
Perhaps you should smile more. See how young I look when I do this? ;D

Well at least with that big smile, one sees a big grin with teeth and nothing else. So yes, keep on smiling.

Well thanks! Only, I'm refraining from big smiles at the moment. Thursday night I had a crown come off. Naturally, my dentist's office is closed on Fridays. So I have to chew carefully until Monday morning and not smile big in the meantime....

Oh so sorry to hear about your dental problem. I can only imagine what that must be like. I hope the dentist takes care of it promptly on Monday.

Luckily, the dentist was able to use something he called 'Miracle Mix' (I'm hoping I didn't mis-hear him and that he didn't say Miracle Whip, LOL) to glue the sucker back on. He said, however, that if it doesn't hold (not a whole lot of real 'tooth' left, I fear), then they might have to drill down to somewhere near my ankle and insert a post. Yikes!!!
