Dear Alex, Do you know anything about soulmates? I have been giving them a lot of thought. Recently my soulmate went to that happy hunting ground in the sky. She was my other half. Am I now doomed to being lost without my other half or is there someone else out there who could complete me? Do I actively look or wait patiently? Any advice would be welcome, Thank you, Jake

Well, Jake,
I think Alex is away for a day or so, but let me throw in my two cents worth. I think what you must to is to just be receptive. I wouldn't say you should actively seek a 'replacement' - I don't think you can 'replace' one person with another - each is unique. However, I feel there is more than one person around who can help you 'complete' yourself - you just have to be open and willing to recognize and most of all, accept that person without trying to compare them with the one you lost. That course is unfair to you, to them and to the two of you as a possible couple. If it is meant to be, you and that person will meet. I sense that this will happen, and quite possibly, a lot sooner than you may think.

Ahh vacation. Veg out time. Had a good one. We should all have a vacation at least once a month. Hello Jake! You could have asked an easier question for your first one. But here goes. Finding a soulmate is something that a lot of people never do. The fact that you found one is remarkable. Will you find another? Possibly. Maybe not the soulmate may not be like your first one. As we age our perseptions change. What you needed in a soulmate at age 20 may not be what you need at age 50. I'm not saying that we outgrow our soulmates. Soulmates grow with us. I'm saying as you change your soulmate will change also. You might know her now and not know it. Let God take care of finding your soulmate and you just enjoy life as it is given to you. Be patient. It could be today or tomorrow. Or a year or 2 from now. But when the time is right it will happen.
