Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for 1 hour. The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process.

For our "over-the-pond" members, a 'cotton ball' refers to 'cotton wool', and not something that makes for a very slow game of tennis.

The little white cotton balls, you use to remove your make-up. Thats it Mark. I tried this, it works.

I do call them cotton wall balls...
I guess in the interest of recycling you could always squeeze the cotton ball over your chips (fries) after the hour of marinating...
