Not to sure if you've posted about this before but couldn't find it if youhave...Anyway Mark can you tell us (well me at least) what the difference between these virus things are. For example what is different between a Trojan horse, virus, hacker, worm etc. I know a virus can do untold damage but have little knowledge about the rest of them...and since Jane got a worm I got to wondering.

Dabbit, I can't word it any better than it is at webopedia.comThis write-up describes in detail what a worm, trojan horse and virus are. A hacker, however, is none of these things. A hacker is some numbskull who finds it self-satisfying to break through a computer system's defenses, i.e. breaking their passwords, finding hidden files, etc. They belong in (and are frequently are sent to) prison.

Good question, daisymae, and fortunately I have what I think is a good answer. Look in Admin's Corner at Downloads, etc. The third entry is for a very good (and free) antivirus software called AVG. It's what I use and automatic updates are made almost daily. While you're there, I can also recommend the fourth item, Advanced Windows Care, Personal Edition (also free). I use it myself.
