Dabbit, I just noted on the scrolling news at the bottom of the forum that you've experienced an earthquake of 4.7 magnitude or so in England. Did you feel it at all, or was it too far from where you are? Hope you and your family are alright.

Yeah it was 5.3 according to the news this morning - I didn't feel a thing although it was felt as far away as London (which we would probably have felt as from the place to London we're in a line - if that makes sense). It lasted ten seconds apprarently and luckily little damage was done - although there was some damage.

That's good to hear, Dabbit, good to hear indeed. Hopefully there won't be any really big ones, but if there are, doubtless they'll occur while I'm in England next year, right? LOL

Actually, I read somewhere that there are a couple hundred or so a year in Great Britain, though apparently so minor, most of them, that they don't attract a lot of attention. There are quakes around where I live too, but none that I've ever noticed. Now, while I was working in Central America I experienced several in the 5 and 6 point something range that were quite noticeable!
