Hi,
I found this message board through another website. I'm anxious to get to know each of you better.
Having a busy summer; as I have the two grandson's here for the entire summer. They are brother's ages 6 and 7; from Memphis, TN. We're all originally from Mississippi. We'll be taking them back home on August 7th and staying in the area for a wedding.
Hopefully, shortly after that and when it cools down a bit; we can go on a vacation. Just not sure where or when, yet.
I'm the mother of two 4 adult children; two of my own and two of my husband's. We're expecting a new grandchild on August 9th.
I love to cook, sew, read and work on my family tree.
Can't wait to hang out with y'all here.

Can I ask which web site you found the exascape forum through?
Look forward to getting to know you better

I am a member of EZ Cooking, then from Mark's Facebook account, I found this one.
These grandkids are very active and I was worn out the first week. I've adjusted pretty much for now.
Congratulations Dave on your expected new arrival, too.

The grandkids went back to Memphis two weeks ago. I spent that next week - resting and catching up. My husband and I made a trip to Memphis this past weekend to visit his family.
Yesterday, my daughter in law, who is expecting the baby August 9th, made a trip to the ER. After monitoring her the doctor decided there was nothing major going on, just the baby dropping and causing discomfort. He also prescribed Ambien (sp) she's not had much sleep the past month or so. That had me all worked up and I was a nervous wreck.
My youngest son, took his test for the Air Force, yesterday. Scored well. He still isn't sure he'll join or not.
Expecting out of town company this week and maybe next week, too. Oh and lets not forget the youngest son and his girlfriend say they are coming this weekend.
I've got tons of sewing projects, genelaogy, and books to read........my days are too short, lately. Somehow, I always find time to log in to Facebook!

Hi Pixiedust!
Good to hear from you. Tell your son, that if he is intent on joining the military, then I highly recommend the Air Force. That's the branch that I served in. And, if he wants to make a career of the military, I can recommend that too - the benefits are great and retirement is early. After retirement he could actually take on another career, as I did when I went into the Foreign Service. There is real job security with the government as well, as well as opportunity for not only serving your country, but seeing a good deal of the world as well.
Oh, interesting you are on Facebook - I'm there as well. Look me up sometime! ;D
