The mist for me was an excellent film with just the right amount of everything to make it a 'top horror'. David Drayton visits the store to buy some things following a terrible storm, his enemy neighbour offers his insurance details willingly and a sort of friendship begins to bloom. And then they hit the store, where a mist (more like a thick fog) begins to form. as people begin to take a chance and head for their cars, they soon realise that in the mist there are 'things', and these 'things' kill nastily.
A religious woman in the store is calling it the wrath of God, and gradually people are believing her and finally they want sacrifices for God to save their lives. So the small group decide to chance a ride in Davids larger than average car, and things get even worse. The final twist in the film is devastating for the people who have left the store, and makes you wonder was the religious woman so fanatical after all?
I loved it, but it scared my wife who wasn't so struck
