Not sure if you can help or not but I'll prattle away anyway...When I virus scan my PC I get a list of items saying they are 'java script byte' something or other. However there is no update or virus killer that can get rid of them, so they are literally there all the time.
My machine is running OK (**touch wood**) albeit a little slow. I wonder whether you think it is something to be concerned about or whether it might be a bit of Java script gone awry?

Well, it would help to see a bit of the messages you're receiving. Javascript itself won't hurt anything usually. Usually viruses are written in something called VBScript, or Virtual Basic. What sort of Internet Access do you have, Dave? Is it Dial-up or via your TV Cable, DSL via your telephone line, or what? Also, what operating system are you using? Is it an Apple, Mac, or Windows? I don't know much about Apples and Mac's, but if it's windows you need to scan the disk and defrag it periodically or it will get slower and slower. I try to get around to defragging mine at least twice a week. I also have Norton Utilities that I run several times a week to check for errors in the registry, bits of code that are not used and should be deleted, and the like. All of these things can contribute to a diminution of your normal computer's operating speed and make for a really noticeable difference in response time.
