I went into town on Saturday morning - something I rarely do unless early enough to see the birds catching the worms. And Saturday showed me why I don't! The town was absolutely heaving - hardly any room on the pavement for a tiny person like myself.Add to the fact no one moves out the way for anyone else any more, add they all stand in huddles on the path refusing to move, add the queues, and add the fact the pie and mash shop was packed and I was glad to get in!

I don't blame you, LOL. Oh, and in case anyone on this side of the pond is not familiar with pie and mash, as I remember it, it's a sort of minced meat pie with mashed potatoes with a green sauce. Rather tasty, actually. Though I always refrained from the 'eel' which was also sometimes offered in such eateries.... ;D

Indeed Mark you are right with lashing of vinegar splashed all over it a Londoners delicacy! I couldn't eat the eels either - though my Dad used to love them!

I see a recipe on EZ (strange that Z being our 'zee') anyway EZcooking (or EasyCooking) I wish I could just shut up and get on with it lol! So this recipe was in US measurement and I thought I'd like to try it and decided to go back and change the US to UK (nearly finished). But I didn't I forgot all about it! (well worth the wait aye?)

Right, LOL. Well, did you notice I put a converter on the home page at EZ, so that one can convert back and forth as you wish, for about any kind of measurement.
EZ is just a phonetic shortening of Easy, shorter and EZ to remember... ;D
