I have heard rumours that our 'beloved' primeminister wants to stop the current Buy One Get One Free offers that our supermarkets offer. He is apparently in Japan for the G8 meeting and reckons that we Brits waste so much food that he wants it stopped! It just confirms that Britain is no longer run from London - rather everywhere else in the world.
But what really bugs me is his inconsideration for those on low incomes who buy the deals to make their money go further.

It does sound rather heavy-handed of him. He's not only telling the public they should be paying higher prices, but that the shopkeepers cannot set prices where they wish. Sounds like so much tomfoolery to me.

He's a bit of twazzark anyway Mark! In most (if not all) the recent elcetions he has lost out even on firm labour holds! If he gets in the next election it will be a miracle!

I definitly can't see him getting in at the next election. I've yet to meet anyone who likes him!! Did you see on the news today that he is being likened to "Heathcliffe" from Emily Brontes novel "Wuthering Heights" Where on earth do they get that from He is no where near handsome or rugged enough

Anne, how does anyone know what Heathcliffe looked like, LOL? Unless, of course, you're confusing him with Ralph Fiennes who played him once in a movie version... ;D

I know Mark you're right...LOL but thats what was being said on the TV. Think maybe they we're refering to Heathcliffe's personality...but I still can't see it myself. Somehow I don't think I'm confusing him with Ralph Fiennes, or my own prefered choice of Heathcliffe, Timothy Dalton Gordon Brown chasing Cathy over the Yorkshire Moors ?? hmm.... I can't realy see it myself, can you ... ;D

Gordon Brown running - I can't see that somehow. Too interested in making up rules and regulations for the British public! or flying to Japan eating an 8 course meal and then telling everyone not be wasteful on food
