Don't you just hate standing in a queue (something I hate at any time) only to find someone has pushed past to the front under some excuse. I guess these people think they are more important than anyone else, or that no one else is in quiet the hurry they are. I have on many occasions said something because my blood pressure gage just goes through the top.

I will not stand in line. I had enough of that in high school. I avoid them. I avoid crowds too.Same thing as standing in line.

As a fine feline I have never had to stand in line or wait for anything. Line standing is a human trait. Some animals like dogs are put in lines at dog shows (how degrading) by humans. The animal world is not prone to lines. Well birds like Electric and telephone lines. But they are using them not waiting to get in somewhere. Humans can be very stupid at times.

no. I usually do something else until the line disappears or just go away.Mentioned this to my brother not too long ago. His reply." I don't wait in line either. The Navy cured me of that. If there is a line I'm gone. Don't have time for that." not sure if it is arrogance or lack of patience. Maybe a mixture of both. Somehow waiting in a long line for something is very demeaning to me. It would have to be something very special for me to stand in line.

I have a severe lack of patience wiating in a queue too sandy and often lose my rag, but I rarely have any choice (simply due to lack of transport and ability to get around so freely). But what REALLY gets me is people who think they have some right to pushin front of me in that queue...

That is a problem.Lack of mobility. I'm not sure of they think it is their right to push in line, more like they are not thinking of others, just themselves. People can be very self centered and inconsiderate, with one thing on their minds, getting where they want to be fast. That is really no excuse for being ignorant and inconsiderate but might explain their actions. The sad part of it is that most wouldn't give a hangnail if it was pointed out to them what they did.

I know on the occassions I have said something they act all innocent as if they didn't realise or they are just rude and ignore me. If I had the strength I would smack them in the mouth, and I am the most non viloent person EVER

I confess i did a Sandy this morning at our local post office. When I arrived at town the post office queue reached beyond the next door shop so I left it thinking it would be 'calmer' on my way home - I was wrong! So my bank never got my money and will now go bankrupt as a result, leaving me feeling guilty over the collapse of a major institute and probably derpessed - why did they invent queues!

Oh, I don't do well at standing in queues, and refusse to if at all possible. I do as much by Internet, by telephone or by mail as possible.

I do as well Mark but unfortunately even the internet cannot transfer money from my hand to a bank LOL - but I'm sure it will come (maybe insert the number on the note or something)...

Could be. I almost never use cash myself - comparatively inconvenient means of exchange these days.

My wife still gets paid in cash so we have no option that way, and it comes in handy when buying a cup of coffee or newspaper etc though it will eventually disappear i am sure of that!

Well, I get along most of the time with little cash. I use a credit card for everything, even for my newspaper subscription or the occasional visit to a coffee shop. I really only use cash in the odd circumstance where someone doesn't accept credit cards, but I normally avoid those places. Too bad they pay her in cash, but my first wife usually was paid in cash too, being a hairdresser and all. I think you're correct though, cash will disappear someday. The Euro was a step in that direction probably and the growth of credit cards, online banking, electronic funds transfer, etc. all indicate we are moving that way.
