My daughter had her second scan yesterday and has to go back for they couldn't find the babies heart beat. She had to go for a 20 minute walk as the baby was breech anyway and they couldn't see the sex, and when she returned the little monkey had only just moved enough to see that he was a boy - but not enough to check his heart beat...Next appointment 1st October

I hope the baby is fine, Dabbit. Is it a boy they want?

No they actually wanted a girl - but as I say the main thing is that it is healthy...

Indeed, that is the main thing, Dabbit. Keep us posted, please.

I think I am the 'worst' grand dad in the world for nosiness, I have enrolled myself on the pampers web site as a mother to be due the same time as my daughter, just so I can find out what is supposed to be happenening with Brett and how he is growing

Dave, when my son and his wife were pregnant (Oh I do love how men these days are pregnant. LOL) I also registered on that page. I love getting all the update for age related info. When my kids were little I always read everything I could get my hands on relating to children. I think it is just an extension of wanting to be informed--every wonderful and fantastic grandparent wants to be on top of things. (notice how great we are? LOL

No, I suspect it's just human nature, Dabbit. At least, I suspect so, never having had kids of my own.

Thanks, but there's a reason why I didn't have any kids. Let's put it this way, if I'd have wanted them, I probably would have had them. LOL

Mark you have all your pets that are treated like children and don't make you stay awake at night worrying that they are ok. (Even when they are gown adults.) Imagine if Charley had a girlfriend what you would have to worry about. ;D

Ah shucks Mark you sure you don't wanna try them out ? LOL Maria I recall when ours were young I was wishing they would grow up a bit, but everyone said no you want to make the most of knowing where they are and them being in bed at the right time etc. Of course now when they did get older those words of wisdom were so true. Even today my middle one os going to see her boyfriend in Poole, and I worry sick about her. She moans at me for keep reminding her to call me and let me know she is OK and got there. Worse still she has to go over London by herself

I know what you mean. I dread the day when Charley asks for keys to the car...

Well Fudge won't ever get the keys to the car as we don't drive LOL, but I'd certainly watch Charlie when you do eventually hand them over - I think he's taken a shine to our Fudge

You could be right, Dabbit, perhaps that's why Charley has been asking me about transatlantic ferrys!
