Dear Alex
I am writing with a worry about a friend (who is also a cat), you see this friend is getting depressed because he thinks no one likes him...Of course this is nonsense everyone love him, but we do alls seem to neglect him.
Of course being a cat I realise that he can't participate in many activities himself, and I have offered him a saucer of milk which I hope will cheer him up.
What do you think Alex, will he be OK - should I scour the internet for a good cat therapist?

Not a fan of therapists. They talk in cliches and hmmmm and ahhh a lot. Not only that they are expensive. I know it's hard for you to understand a cat's depression. It's a horrible thing to see. Start out with a little catnip ball and take 5 minutes a day and make it "cat time" Just you and kitty. You will be surprised at the change in him and in you. You don't always have to be playing. Sometimes just sit kitty on your lap and scratch his ears and talk about your worries to kitty. And for heaven's sake don't embarass the poor dear by suggesting a therapist! All cats hate to be told there is something wrong with them. Cat therapist ARGHHHHHHHHH.

Careful you don't sink into a catatonic state....
I think that's sound advice, though Dave, after all - who would know better than a cat, right?

You can't possibly be suggesting I need a head shrink? There is a difference between knowing you are the best and thinking you are the best. Me I know I am the best.
