I was quite happy when in my local Woolworths I spied two crowns of rhubarb for a mere £1.99. Last year when I was looking in catalouges and online where the price was much more than this...I have planted the rhubarb as per the instructions on the pack...watch this space

Rhubarb and strawberries together make the best pies. Alas, I lost my recipes for this pie. Can our resident chief offer a good recipe for this?
Although I have also just eaten rhubarb straight from the garden. Yummy.

I'm sure she can dig up something. In the meantime, she has posted several other rhubarb recipes on her recipe site at Juana Cookie's kitchen

I gave the rhubarba glance on my way out today and it looks at though it's no longer of this world...or put simply the leaves at the top have died and gone brown. However I amd ever the optimist and hope the crown (under ground) is still ok and bear fruit later in the year...A chap can day dream can't he?

Maria, in addition to a couple of Strawberry-Rhubarb pie recipes (one from Mark, the other, my grandmother's), and a couple of other recipes in the CAKESandPIES section of the recipe page, if you go furthur down on the index page, you will see there is a section devoted to Rhubarb, with a few recipes there, as well. My personal favorite, is Rhubarb Upside Down Cake, but I also love just plain ol' rhubarb sauce, too!

okay...I know this is going to sound leading, but....I'll post Dave's recipe, as soon as he tells me what to do with the eggs! *LOL*
Dave, there were eggs in the "ingredients" list, but it didn't say what to do with them, once you got down to the instructions. I'm thinking they were added to the dry ingredients, as otherwise, there would be no "liquid" in the "pudding". Am I right?

The rhubarab has indeed taken again and for some reason doesn't seem to like the warmer weather. Every time it is 'warmer' they seem to wilt a little (unlike me)
