Ever wonder what to do with those empty egg shells?
Did you know if one puts egg shells in their garbage disposal it helps sharpen the blades? That is what my instruction book says to do.
Egg shells are also good for the compost pile.

Also good for walking on around aging parents and in-laws, I hear. ;D

Crushed eggsheels are also good around plants to stop those dreaded slugs...

I could be jumping to conclusions, but I get the impression you're not enamoured of slugs, Dabbit.

I crush my eggshells up and put them in the compost bin. I didn't know about the slugs though!

I always knew you were clever Ma but telepathic?/?/? Dave, not only telepathic, but telegenic, telephonic, psychopathic, neuropathic, hologrammic, whatever - I'm just ic-ky all over... ;D Louise, what do they do for you in the compost - I would think it would take them a long time to decompose.

I think theidea in a compost Ma is to air rate the compost in the bin...hence why you can add paper layers as well...
