On the advice of a member, whose name I won't mention, but his initials are MC, I tried to change my mail to OE. I finally did it, after several days of trials and errors. At this point though, I can received mail there (from ny verizon yahoo acct) but I can't send from there. Which means when I get mail there that I want to reply to, I can't. I have checked all I can and I can't find out why. Any ideas? I think it's really a mess because verizon and yahoo are together now. Will be back tomorrow. I'm trying not to be such a night owl. Pam

Configuring Outlook Express
1. Open Outlook Express. 2. Go to Tools and select Accounts. 3. Click on the Mail tab. 4. If you have an existing account under this and want to remove it, then click on it once and hit remove. If you don't have any accounts under this, then go to step 5. 5. Click on Add and select Mail. 6. Put in your real name when it asks for display name, then press next. 7. Put in your e-mail address, then press next. (ex: pamob1938@verizon.net) 8. "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server." 9. Your incoming mail server should be incoming.verizon.net 10. Your outgoing (SMTP) server should be outgoing.verizon.net 11. Account name will be your username, and password be your password, then press next. 12. Then press finish. 13. Now press Close on the Internet Accounts.
You have successfully configured Outlook Express!
Now, still in Outlook Express, click on Tools, select 'Synchronize All' and it should be busy for a minute or so and you should then be able to send and receive in Outlook Express via Verizon. If not, you should contact Verizon support at (800) 567-6789.
