Last night my son in law was going about his job as a bus driver when he got violently attacked. It happend on his late shift when he refused entry on the bus to an drunk because they had an out of date ticket. The two then decided to attack my future son in law by beaitng him around the head. luckily there were several witnesses and it was reported to the police who are hopeful for an arrest.

Awful, absolutely awful, Dabbit. Is he alright, your future son-in-law?

Apart from some bruising he seems OK, he has taken it quite well in fact...

Well, good. I hope he got some of his own back, if you know what I mean.

He didn't Mark because firstly one of them was a woman and secondly he would have lost hes job for retaliation according to his boss (or at least severely reprimanded)

For defending himself? How odd! What if one of them had used a weapon of some sort?

Put it this way Mark the company he works for is another UK one that has a reputation for treating its employers not so well despite being the biggest (or one of the biggest) here. I have yet to meet one of their drivers who is actually happy working for them - all work out of nessesity I guess

Are the bus companies there all privately owned, Dabbit?

That's the way it usually is, isn't it Dabbit? Sad, but true. Shucks! Can't we all get along?

I know - sad, but true as well. I guess I'm lucky since I've never been money-driven. I can only watch one TV at a time or drive one automobile at a time, and have never had the desire to try to impress other people with 'things', if you know what I mean.

I don't think 'things' can bring you happiness...only love and companionship - and those, money cannot buy.
