They say that money doesn't grow on trees, but there are ways to make growing things pay! Not only is fresh produce delicious, it can save you some real cash on your grocery bills. That's fine for summer, but it doesn't help you during the rest of the year. You could preserve food from your garden for later. But where do you learn how to do that? Today's Site of the Day is a great place to start. It's the National Center for Home Food Preservation. It has tons of information to help you preserve the food you grow and should be of particular interest to our EZ Cooking, members. On this site you'll find tips for canning, freezing, drying and smoking. There are instructions for preserving most common food types. Go to the National Center for Home Food Preservation.
