Mark i wonder if you can offer any help on how to get my site 'noticed' by more people. I have submitted it to some directories, and search engines (that are free), but wonder if there is any better way of getting more visitors and members?

I've been wondering the same thing. I've submitted to the free submission things. I'll give it some thought though. One thing that occurred to me was finding other boards and things and making 'references' when it seemed appropriate. For example, 'I saw something on such-and-such-forum the other day about that, I believe it said that such a condition is quite uncommon and the treatment....etc", know what I mean? The other thing was that we invite our members to visit each other's boards. Also, if we could somehow get a mention in newsletters, that would be a benefit too, I think. I've also looked at beefing up those metaword thingys to draw people by particular subjects to the family website, and then point them back at the forums as well. What do you think?

Good! Are these ones that you've just recently joined, or has it been some time?

Great! I think it just takes a lot of work. I've gone to Google and perhaps will go to Yahoo as well and form little 'Groups' to perhaps hit more search engines.
