Geroge Bush has finally agreed at the G8 to reducing some of America's carbon footstep. However he needs to get China and India (the second and third worst pollutants after the USA) to also agree to reducing their footstep.
I am pleased GWB has finally agreed to doing something and I hope the other two do also...Well done Mr Bush

There are several states here that are passing very stringent pollutant laws which are setting standards for the other states. Bush has to have started to hear what American's (most) are saying about reducing our contribution to the green house gases.
Unfortunately, I don't think he will have much of an impact on India or China. :-(

I think that India and China will be forced to take action sooner rather than later due to world pressure now that the U.S. has stepped up to the plate. However, the question remains, is too little being done too late. Are the effects pollutants have caused in the air and in our water and ground reversible, or is it too late?

My deep down feeling is that it is too late - Mark if I am honest, but of course I wish I could think otherwise....

And, of course, I hope you're not right, this time...
