My poor old cat has trouble chewing these days, so I tend to feed him on finely chopped chicken and some vegetables these days. Does anyone else have an elderly cat and, if so, how do you feed them?

You're more than welcome, fluffy. Us 'old cats' have to stick together... ;D

Poor thing - think he might have an upper respiratory problem or something?

No, I don't think so, its more a case of his purr keeping going when he falls asleep!

Hmmmm....hope he's ok. Sometimes a cat's purr is a sign of distress as opposed to contentment has been my experience. Has he been to a vet for a checkup lately other than for obligatory annual shots or something?

the way the poor old boy is snoring in my ear today I will need ear defenders! Oh Fluffy, my 12 year Baby has turned into the worse snorer these past two years. He always want to sleep right next to my pillow. He actually sometimes wakes me us. That is if my snoring doesn't wake him up first. ;D

He is fine Mark, he only starts to purr when he curls up on me, he is eating well, if a tad awkwardly and still runs about the house when the mood is on him.

Good. One worries about the older ones. So many things can befall them, upper respiratory, feline leukemia, kidney failure, etc, that you have to be watchful.
