Apparently between London and New York there is a tunnel, which has been in the making for over a century. it is due to be finished in May 2008, when a special device called the telectroscope is going to make it possible to stand in London and see New York and Vice versa. Amazing isn't it? Had you heard of this prior to this posting? www.tiscali.co.uk/telectroscope/home.php

wow! I never heard of this before! Pretty cool though. I don't see what the practical applications woud be. But I must say it makes a cool tourist attraction.

How neat would it be if you could get between USA and UK by train instead of flying? Personally I think they should just get a giant tug boat and drag the UK closer to the USA, I mean we all speak the same language (well nearly), eat the same stuff etc. And besides if the two countries were closer together Mi might actually be lucky enough to visit the USA one day!

Alas, Dabbit, I'm afraid the Atlantic Tunnel will only allow you to watch Rita enjoying her Cappucino on this side of the pond....

We have microwaves here in the UK Mark so no problems there LOL. Funnily enough I'm going on holiday to the Uk this year - spooky that isn't it (what with last year both chosing Italy and that (even though I didn't actually go) )

We like it but we have been going for 25 years +, my in laws and many 'more senior' people dislike it with a passion because it tends to aim towards the 'younger market' with lots of slot machines, pleasure beach, shops, novelties etc. That said I am 12 years short of getting my old age buss pass (60) and i like it...
