My dear Alex
I am in a terrible state! I live in the UK and am growing to hate it, I want to move away. But I have little money, no prospects, and a dog! I can't speak much foreign language either apart from 'oui' of course. Can you suggest a country I can move to where I would be welcomed with open arms, loved as one of their own, and where the little money I do have would go a long way?
Thank you
Smiler

What was it Dorothy said? Ohh. there's no place like home. There is a lot of truth to that statement. I suggest you stay put and figure out why you are growing to hate the UK and fix it. If it isn't fixable stop dwelling on the bad thigs and look at the good. If you really really look at other countries they have problems also. Alex is on one of his spring jaunts. Hopefully he will return soon. He said that he was going on an old fashioned "grand tour" If I remember correctly they last a year! I don't think he will be gone that long. He likes the reception he gets when he returns home too much to stay away that long.

Fix it? How on earth could that be done? I hope Alex enjoys his long stint away - will he come home single do you think or with a Miss/Mrs Feline?

I sort of sneaked behind a librarians desk here in Italy and well, HERE I AM! Sandy was right. There is no place like home. I discover that everytime I go on a jaunt. Fix it? Make sure you vote. Let the gov know how unhappy you are. You live in a great country and like the US the monorities are taking over. Why? Their voice is louder than yours. So use your voice. Dave, I am very content with my single state. Also unlike humans we felines do not feel a need to attach ourselves to just one feline. But I have been known to very attached to one human.

Well Alex I can assure you thst I always vote - come rain or shine I never miss voting - I don't believe that people have a right to moan about their governments unless they do go and vote!
I'm glad the attractions of Italy (not least the fabulous female felines) and of course the wonder of the internet allow you to come back and visit us! Enjoy your hoiliday Al!

Yes, but hopefully he'll get tired of CATting around in Europe and CATapult himself back across the pond. Here's hoping, I'll whistle a happy TUNA just in case.

You can never tell how those FUR-eigners are going to react in a given situation, guess it depends on how they are FELINE at the time, and having traveled from France to England, does that make it a (you ready for this?) 'Tail of two kitties'?

Post card from Alex:Me having some lessonsHaving a WHALE of a time here on the CATamaran. Yesterday I spent fishing and caught 3 DOGfish & 2 CATfish (though I let those two go - I just couldn't bring myself to enjoy them) . Monday was CATastrophic weather wise - though it calmed down about the time I needed a CAT nap. Today, I am resting on the SANDY beach and think I might have CAT SHARK for dinner after my CAT-alufaring about. Love from your ever watching purfect friend

Well, aren't you just the CAT's pajamas! But what you say just makes PURR-fect sense. You'd have to be CAT-atonic not to enjoy that CAT-alog PURR-fect photograph too!
