Dave, you sure have a green thumb!!! As soon as those strawberries are ripe, I'll be over, and we can make jam! *LOL*

OK Jo, but the trouble is they never all ripen together - we get about 1/2 a dozen at a time...

Dabbit, I love the pictures. Now we truly know you are a good gardner.

I wouldn't say a good gardener - I only grow in pots (with the expecption of the few carrots in the ground). However I got so excited this year whem my apples started to grow and that cauliflower just made my head swell...Heaven knows what will happen if my brussel sprouts decide to fruit...lol

Imagine--you will have to find a new love in brussel spouts. Although they have always been one of my favorites. :-)

Do you know Maria I hate fresh brussell's, but when they have been frozen I think they're OK...

Oh, but brussels properly prepared can be delicious, and with proper condiments, etc are exquisite. Just masticate them well to avoid excessive gas.

I have always love the sprouts and never ever had gas problems. It wasn't until a year ago when I made them for a dinner guest and was informed that that was a problem. How rude huh? I make a great sweet & sour sauce to go over them but mayonnaise is still my favorite. Got to watch out for cabbage worms--they like the sprouts too.

Mine are coveredMaria and in pots of fresh compost...I was determined to offer them the best so I could at least say I have grown them - do you know when I can expect some brussells, I think I will have to check the packet...em and plant some more lolla rossa, and anything else I see and fancy trying

What's lolla rossa, Dave, sounds like an exotic dancer's name or something?

Its a 'red/green' lettuce with 'frade' edges and delicious (one of the few lettuces I like)

Indeed lettuce...a nice lolla rossa slice of cucumber a cherry tomato beats a nice fried breakfast doesn't it?
