In a related subject (at least to my mind), this was on the internet this morning. A wave of "Paris wannabes"? Good Lord, I hope not!! KAC
For his next show, Donald Trump turns party tramps into ladies 06/14/07 - 10:05 AM
DONALD Trump is not waiting long to get back on TV.
Trump, whose "Apprentice" series was dropped from NBC's fall schedule, is set to make a comeback in a show that is right out of today's headlines.
The master builder will attempt to transform a bevy of wild party girls-think Paris, Lindsay and Britney-into refined society ladies in "Lady or a Tramp," a new show for Fox.
It's a far cry from the boardroom he occupied on "The Apprentice."
On the show, rowdy female club-hoppers and their ilk will be sent to a charm school to undergo rigorous etiquette training.
They'll go through the usual reality-show challenges - learning to host teas, do needlepoint, etc. But each week, one of them will be tossed off the show.
Timing for the show could not be better.
Hollywood's bad girls are all over the media right now and the show is a sure bet to tap into the public fascination with rich kids gone sour - and the unspoken desire to bring them back to the wholesome life.
Trump's not sure if he'll actually appear on the show, though it seems a very good bet he will.
For the moment, he is listed as executive producer.
"Timing is the hard part," he told The Post yesterday. "I would love to [appear] but it takes time to do.
"I hadn't thought in terms of hosting because it's a show that stands on its own.
"But they seem to want me to appear. I will certainly consider it."
The show's concept is borrowed from the U.K. reality show "Ladette to Lady" (seen here on Sundance Channel), in
which rowdy female club-hoppers are sent to a charm school to be transformed into very proper ladies.
"Lady or a Tramp" is being rushed into production so that it can be ready to air as early as midseason, according to Variety. "They want to start shooting almost immediately," Trump says.
So just how will Trump and company corral young partiers to appear on the show?
"I think it will be easy. You troll the clubs," Trump said. "I think, honestly, that's the best way.
"You take a girl and she becomes great, perhaps, or not so great."
Already, there are indications that Trump is not alone in the field.
Casting calls went out just a few weeks ago for a show called "My Fair Lady."
No network was mentioned in the call notice but the ad is requesting "competitive party girls who have what it takes to survive etiquette school."
Meanwhile, "The Apprentice" is not dead yet, Trump insists.
He and veteran reality-TV guru Mark Burnett (who is not involved in "Tramp") are still negotiating to bring "The Apprentice" back to NBC, he says.
"Mark and I are great friends and we're doing a lot of things together," Trump said.
"This is separate."
In case I forgot to mention it, and you couldn't figure it out, I really hate reality t.v. Just another excuse to make people who have never accomplished anything in their lives, into "stars".

I never watch 'reality tv.' To me, it is either people scheming to do others in or people making fools of themselves. I suppose the dancing isn't so bad. I have seen about 15 minutes of that but if I want to see dancers, I could watch a good ballet or one of the ball room room competitions.
Looks like Paris has been dropped by her 'talent' agency and everything else is going south too. She had her 15 minutes of fame--that went on way too long-- for being a rich gal with no talent.

I think that she lacks any marketable talent had something to do with her agent's dropping her.
I must agree with you about 'Reality' TV, although I've never watched it, the promos were enough to turn me off completely.

Did you hear the reason for her early release? "Good behavior". Hmmm...that means that for every day she was "good", she got a day taken off her sentence. Is that going to be the new standard for murderers and rapists, as well?

Well some high and mighty person here in the UK has said we should release all non serious offenders early because we only have 500 place left in jails in total across the UK. Why bother putting them away at all? Let them kill, rape, abuse etc and then let them sue us for invading their human rights!

Gee didn't Britian deport their convicts when they got too many of them? Remember some rumor about Australia! Think we can get together with the queen and send all ours and yours to some cold uninhabitated place. OH no! that wouldn't work. Imagine being cruel to a pediphile.

Yes sandy we'll have to start looking online for some unused land somewhere with no possibility of getitng away? Talking of paedophiles they had a TV programme on TV recently and a many was bragging of raping his six year old daughter. A woman knew about another one and still chose to leaveher daughter with him! There was of course outrage here when the programme was revealed but it still went ahead!
