What particular genre does Jodi Picoult write in, Sandy?

I love Eugenia Price's writing. Did you perchance read her historical series set in and around Savannah, Ga.?

Jodi Picoult writes about life. SHe wrote My Sister's Keeper. It has been made into a movie. I haven't seen it but those who have and have also read the book said that they changed the ending. You can really get wrapped up in her books. I have one waiting that is about brittle bone disease.

Finished the serial killers book, and have started one the father-in-law gave me - Cadfael.

Cadfael? What is that, Welsh?

Cadfael is a monk Mark who is Welsh and set in a Cheshire place for monks (can't think of the word off hand). Anyway, it boils down from what I have heard that Cadfael is also somewhat something of an 'amateur detective' - so helps solves murders, mysteries etc
