It's rather fun to watch as they learn, isn't it? Like regular sponges, they are, just soaking up new knowledge and experience.

Dabbit, I loved every second of being a parent . . and I was one that was very involved with my kids. However, there is something that is very special about being a grandparent that goes beyond the glow of parenthood. When I am watching my most favorite grandson (he is my only little guy) and he is sitting on my lap gazing up into my face and tells me, "You are my favorite Oma. I love you." there is nothing like it. Yet, it is even better when I go home or they leave. Nice peace and quite of the house. AND no getting up during the night. ;D

I agree with you Maria that peace and quiet is just lovely when they go - but then its great to see them (well him for us) again!

Krisitan is now crawling, has two teeth, eating solids! The only thing that hasn't changed is he is still adorable - but maybe I'm biased.

I have no basis for comparison.
BTW, I'm glad to see you're still around. I thought you'd left the country or something.
